K Street Kate: A new Travel Channel series, Food War, will debut this Spring, showcasing iconic foods from across the country, including DC’s famous “Jumbo Slice.” Blindfolded judge, Lisa Shapiro, author of Dining in DC, isn’t quite sure why pizza was being featured as DC’s most notable nosh, but she’s looking forward to April when she can finally dish on the deepdish.
