Aww Shucks! Chef Jamie Leeds and Hank’s Oyster Bar in Dupont Circle  (1624 Q Street, NW) will graciously host the upcoming October DC Food Blogger Happy Hour on Wednesday, October 3rd (6-8 pm) in conjunction with Take a Bite out of Breast Cancer!  Do you need a reason to come out and have a sip and a slurp with your favorite foodies?  Hank’s Oyster Bar will generously donate 25% of all proceeds from food and drink from Tuesday, Oct. 2nd AND Wednesday, Oct. 3rd to PinkJams!

Focused on reaching thousands of area diners throughout the month of October, which is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Take a Bite Out of Breast Cancer delivers important early detection and awareness information to restaurant patrons and encourages them to get involved in the fight against breast cancer and supports Pink Jams!, a DC area non-profit promoting breast cancer awareness to young men and women.

There are nearly twenty DC area restaurants participating , such as Hank’s Oyster Bar (all 3 locations!), PAUL BakeryMasa 14, 2100 Prime, and Proof, that have generously agreed to participate to help Pink Jams! achieve this important awareness mission. There are many options for diners who wish to show their support for this very important cause.

If you attended the October DC Food Blogger Happy Hour last year then you know that more than 75+ local Food Bloggers (and friends) completely took over Hank’s and we drank, ate, and laughed to help get the word out about Take a Bite out of Breast Cancer.
