SOSFor one week, September 20-26, 2009 participating DC area restaurants will graciously donate a portion of their sales to support the efforts of Share Our Strength and help the fight against childhood hunger! Some of the participating restaurants include some of my personal favorites such as, Dino, Art and Soul, and J Paul’s in Georgetown.

The Great American Dine Out helps raise critical funds for organizations in communities across America that are working with Share Our Strength to end childhood hunger.

Please mark your calendars and plan to dine out to support this very important cause!

Share our Strength’s annual Taste of the Nation event in 2009 raised over $120,000 to fight childhood hunger locally and nationally. Share Our Strength’s Taste of the Nation® is the nation’s premier culinary benefit dedicated to making sure no kid in America grows up hungry. Each spring, the nation’s hottest chefs and mixologists donate their time, talent and passion at more than 45 Taste of the Nation events across the United States and Canada, with one goal in mind: to raise the critical funds needed to end childhood hunger. Dining in DC will be volunteering at the event this year April 12, 2009 at the National Building Museum!!
