Farrah Olivia says, “Farewell”

Til we meet again, Morou!

Til we meet again, Morou!

On Sunday evening, the closing of Farrah Olivia was announced. It was not so much out of the blue, as the fate of Farrah Olivia has been in the hands of Balducci’s for several weeks now. On Facebook, Sunday night, Executive Chef and owner Morou Ouattara announced that, “Farrah Olivia will be closed tonight after service. See you at a new location fall 2010.”

Morou had already announced the opening of their new concept, Kora a few months ago. KORA, named after Morou’s youngest daughter will be a new restaurant/bar/lounge in Crystal City (Arlington, VA) in the space formerly occupied by BEBO located at 2250 Crystal Drive and are set to open early this summer. Morou’s brother, Amadou, formerly of I’Ricchi will be joining Morou in the kitchen. The restaurant will present a more casual concept.

Now all we can do is – wait.
